Laura Knackstedt, daughter of Harold and Diane Knackstedt of Worden, and Nicholas Certa, son of Tony and Sue Certa of Godfrey, were united in marriage at a 7 p.m. ceremony July 10, 2009, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on St. Louis University Campus. Father Tom Meyer officiated.

A reception followed the ceremony at the church reception hall. The bride chose her sister, Tara Winfield, as matron of honor. The groom's brother, Tony Certa Jr. was best man.
