The engagement and approaching marriage of Erin Heinold, daughter of Mark and Teresa Heinold of Mackinaw, Ill., and Peter Vaugh are being announced by her parents. He is the son of Jeff and Mary Vaughn of Alton.

The future bride received an A.A.S. degree in special education from Illinois Central College and a B.S. degree in therapeutic recreation from Illinois State University. She is employed by Springfield ARC, advocacy organization for individuals with disabilities.
